Darah’s new obsession is playing Nintendogs on Maegan’s Nintendo DS while she’s been at camp.  Meanwhile there are real dogs in the house that she can play with (Hunter is with us for two weeks).

Party In The Pit

On Sunday we all attended the wedding vows renewal of Lorena and Carlos.  They held their re-wedding at Carrigan Farms in Mooresville, NC.  Carrigan Farms (or at least this part of it) is an old abandoned granite quarry that has been re-purposed into an outdoor events facility.  Pine trees surround the site.  The area which [...]

Darah was trying to show me earlier tonight that she can do a somersault… or at least what she thought was a somersault. Hilarious! I think one of the reasons I think this is so hilarious is because it reminds me of the fainting goats.

Earlier tonight I caught Darah attempting to cut her own hair with scissors.  At first she tried to redirect the attention by asking what I was doing.  Then she decided to simply deny that she was trying to cut here hair, telling me that she was trying to cut the paper.  The video tape says [...]

Strawberry Pickin'

On Saturday Patty decided to take Maegan and Darah strawberry pickin’. I was working but she got together with most of the rest of her family. Sandi snapped these photos. Maegan posing in the strawberry field. Darah giving her cousin Sophia a hug.

Darah just turned three this month but she had her third surgery this morning.  In February of 2008 she had  a myringotomy, more commonly known as “putting tubes in the ears”.  That didn’t go as well as we had thought at the time because today’s surgery was to repair a hole left in her right [...]

We celebrated Darah’s third birthday with family yesterday.  She got lots of presents like a Barbie doll, a dressable Cinderella cutout, and some sort of outdoor water spray-thing.  She also got a new tricycle from Grandma.  Here’s some video of Darah “riding” her tricycle with Patty.

I have no words to describe this…

Darah Says

I just added a new section to the blog, Darah Says.  Look up and you’ll see it on the main navigation menu. In 2002, when Maegan was three years old, I realized that I should be writing down all the funny, naive things that she was saying.  So I started a separate blog called Maegan [...]

Florida 2010 - Day 5 & 6

On Friday we went to the Wellington Mall.  For the most part it’s just like any other descent mall, but they have a really nice play area for younger kids.  It’s the kind of play area where everything is a giant object but and kids just climb and jump all over them.  This one is [...]
