This is now my first post on my new WordPress blog. It was way easier to import my old Blogger posts than I thought, but I did have several small but unexpected bumps to smooth out. But all in all very easy. One reason it was so easy was that I originally planned on maintaining [...]
I’m one of the original Bloggers. I started using Blogger on January 12, 2001, long before Google bought it from Pyra Labs. I was the 129,287th blogger on Blogger.com, putting me in the top 0.3% of earliest adopters. But what started over nine years and 450 posts ago will soon be over. I’ve complained about [...]
Sorry I haven’t posted in like three weeks or something. Fall is usually tough with ESPNU on Saturdays and Panthers on half the Sundays, but with Patty back in college and needing study time, it’s hard more than a few free moments to post anything more than quick Facebook updates anymore. I tried posting more. [...]
Today is BlogDay. Happy BlogDay. I’m sure most of you have never heard of BlogDay, and that even includes most long-time bloggers. Depending on who you ask, BlogDay was on March 29th, April 20th, May 11th, August 1st, or most commonly referenced on October 17th (but only in the United Kingdom and only in 2006). [...]

I also often I find myself telling a friend about a useful or cool website that either solves a problem they’ve been having or that they would otherwise find helpful. [...]
This is my 400th blog post.(It only took me eight years.)
A blog about Long Island History just wrote a blurb about my 1946 Huntington Town Planning Map. Cool! I may not blog every day but I’ve been blogging a long time. Statistically speaking, 99.99% of all blogs on the internet were started after my first blog (this one) first launched in January of 2001. I’ve [...]
Seriously, this really is only a test. If successful, I posted this message via email.
I’m getting fed up with Blogger’s constant technical failures when it comes to FTP blogs, and their complete inaction on fixing the reoccurring problems. FTP blogs are blogs that are hosted on any website other than Blogger’s blogspot.com domain. I’m an FTP blogger because my blog is hosted on my own personal servers (at mikesussman.com). [...]
As I just logged in to Blogger, I noticed that my last post was #300. Woo hoo.
