Mar 192010
We finally got our 2010 Census.
Question 1)
How many people were living or staying in this house, apartment, or mobile home on April 1, 2010?
- It’s March. Why does the form ask about the future in the past tense?
Question 2)
Were there any additional people staying here April 1, 2010 that you did not include in Question 1?
- Is it just me or is question 2 just asking me if I lied on question 1?
Question 3)
Is this a house, apartment, or mobile home?
- According to the dictionary, “A house is a building in which people live, usually the people belonging to one family.” I can see how an apartment is different in that it’s multi-family and rental-based, but why single out mobile homes? This seems a bit insulting to those who live in a mobile home. What if your mobile home is larger and nicer than my house?
Question 7)
What is Person 1′s age and what is Person 1′s date of birth?
- Um, wouldn’t they know Person 1′s age from their date of birth? Why ask both?
