This story appeared on Reuters news service today and I wish I had thought of it. A travel agency in Prague specializes in sightseeing vacations of The Czech Republic for your stuffed animals. If you can’t afford the opportunity to travel to Europe, you can send your stuffed animal(s) instead. “Toy Traveling” (at SendYourDarling.com) will take your beloved toys around Prague and take photos of them visiting all of the city’s famous landmarks.
Apparently the idea was inspired by a 2001 film I never heard of called “Amelie from Montmartre” but for me this reminds me of the more recent AT&T Wireless commercial “Sweet Pea” where a father takes cell phone photos of his daughter’s stuffed animal in different spots all around the world.
Sure it’s not something I would ever do, but you know that there are people out there who would pay the $150-$200 per stuffed animal.
