Dark Skyward
a poem by Maegan Sussman
In eternal vast night
A lonely blue orb
Sits high on a throne of starred thread
Large chiseled marble stone lies buried deep in its dusty core
Giving light to those with none
On its current portion of our planet
And as millions gaze skyward
At nature’s great work
But the humble old folk just stare out to the distant lands of his world
With not a word to say
And stayed that way ’til red dusk submerged his shoulders

Awesome! I absolutely love it. I love how deep it is. Magnificent! I can't wait to read more.
