Maegan is going to flip over this news. It was announced today that a new Harry Potter theme park will open in 2009. The theme park is a joint venture between Warner Bros. Entertainment and Universal Orlando, and will be located within Universal’s Islands of Adventure. Formally known as “The Wizarding World of Harry Potter”, [...]
My co-worker Brian and his wife leave tomorrow on a journey to China to pick up their adopted daughter Courtney Mei. They plan to blog about their progress along the way at http://courtneyinchina.blogspot.com/. I hope they are able to keep it updated but you can’t predict how easy that will be over there. Best of [...]
My mom came to visit yesterday and got to see her new granddaughter for the first time. She loved meeting Darah and didn’t forget to give Maegan plenty of attention too. My Aunt Barbara is a lifelong Mets fan, Shea Stadium season ticket holder, and often picks up various Mets items for me. One of [...]
This video was shot in 2003. Apparently the funnest part of this ballet class for 5-year-olds is when they drop the gym mat on the floor and blew all the girls’ hair back.

In most ways it’s just a carbon copy of every [...]
Before Sunday nights game between the Mets and Yankees at Shea, a groundskeeper was setting up the bullpen. He slammed down a rolled up mat, then kicked it to unroll it, when out popped a tiny kitten that had been hiding inside. Great video. (The kitten seems to be okay.) Note: It was a black [...]
It’s been more than a week since my last post. There’s been plenty to blog about but I just haven’t had the time, so I’ll give a brief recap. Darah is doing fine, as are Patty and Maegan too. Every three hours she wakes up hungry, cries until she’s fed, gets her diaper changed, wants [...]
Today our neighborhood had its annual community-wide yard sale. It always draws a large number bargain hunters from around the area and Maegan wanted to use this opportunity to sell her homemade lemonade. I set her up with a table, tent, and chair. Last night she made a sign and we bought the necessary ingredients. [...]
Patty and Darah came home from the hospital today. We also got this photo that the hospital took.
Everybody’s still doing well on day number two. I uploaded a few more photos to the album. Patty and Darah get to come home tomorrow.
