This is a three part post. 1) This is Strong Bad from the popular Homestar Runner internet cartoons. (If you’re unfamiliar with Strong Bad click here and he’ll introduce himself to you.) 2) This is the last sonogram image of the new baby. 3) Yes, my wife is going to kick my ass now. Digg [...]

Tonight the Mid-South Emmy nominations were announced and I have received a nomination for my promo, “The Mayberry Code”. This is my third Emmy nomination out of three times entering. I won an Emmy Award for a previous promo campaign entitled “Mayberry Mysteries”.123 It should be obvious that my current nomination and my previous win [...]

Where’s George? is an interesting “activity” where you track your dollar bills online to see where the money you spend eventually ends up. You don’t know everywhere the bill has traveled – only locations where somebody took the time to enter the bill’s serial number on the website. I tried it myself last year after [...]

Several months ago I saw several early animatic clips from The Simpsons Movie due out in 2007 (here’s one) and was immediately concerned about how lowbrow the jokes were. Even non-stamp collectors are familiar with the stamp which contains the image of a World War I bi-plane mistakenly printed upside-down – but an unknown voter in Florida isn’t one [...]

Good for Joe! I’m happy that Joe Lieberman was re-elected to the U.S. Senate last night – even though he’s one of my least favorite Democrats. I’ve always strongly disagreed with most of Lieberman’s beliefs, from his overly-conservative agenda, to his push for media censorship, to his support of the Iraqi war. But it is [...]

Every year my sister Amy participates in a 5K fundraising race for the Multiple Myeloma Research Foundation (MMRF). Our father had Multiple Myeloma and died in 2000 of complications from treatment of the disease. This morning Amy ran her 5 kilometers (about 3.1 miles) in her best time yet, 10 minutes and 13 seconds. Better [...]
